Do You Love Planning Details Yet Procrastinate on Action? Read this.

I talk a lot about the typical challenges of the Entreprenuer (or Visionary) personality.

(Having too many ideas, not enough structure & systems etc.)

But what about the plight of the Integrator, or “Investor” personality in business?

I’m an Integrator myself. That means I prefer operational things. I can take an entrepreneurs 10-year vision – and structure it into a step-by-step plan and organize a project to make it a reality … and I can do that within minutes.

(That’s why I’m hired to run operations in numerous 7- 8 figure companies, and am usually asked to take equity too)

If that sounds like you, and you love the details, you’re mostly Integrator type too.

And the typical conundrum of the Integrator personality is that you love creating freedom (systems) for others, yet it always seems harder to do it for yourself?

However the solution lies in getting assertive, action-oriented people around you to pull your own systems forward.

Another common trap to be careful of: because we naturally love to work on systems and feel more at ease when we’re keeping things in order, beware that doesn’t distort your concept of “freedom”

We don’t create freedom in order to sit on the beach all day (Visionaries would need something to create and Integrators would still need something to fix)… but instead making ourselves free is so that we are mentally and energetically prepared, with available time, for challenges that hit the company as it scales.

If you’re an Integrator, with a solid plan of action… but not enough action… find s way to bring someone who does have that vision, gusto and inspiration into your company.

(I mean that literally – “into your company” – meaning they don’t have to be a part of your business, but they could be even someone in your environment, such as a mentor or friend that brings out the action in you that you usually lack on your own)
