. . . while they work far fewer hours (and even finish ‘work’ at 9am in the morning).
1. Identity-Level Transformation
We looked at their business identity-types: Brian was far more the visionary and idea-maker. Carrie the integrator & implementor of systems.
In the past, they’d not fully embraced these roles. That lead Brian to being frustrated with technical stuff and tracking.
Now they knew their ‘lane’ it was easier to stay in it! Everyone flourishes.
Brian & Carrie credit most of the business development down to this first principle more than any other.
In fact, later this year myself, Brian & Carrie will be leading a business retreat for high-level clientele in Canada, to teach this concept in more depth.
2. Vision, Culture & Objectives
The next step in scaling into a team of coaches and bigger brand is to create a big vision.
A powerful vision for what the company will create is essential to attract excited team members and employees.
Planning the company culture determines how we’ll treat our team & why the best talent in the industry will want to work for us.
When you decide to grow a team, your business becomes the new ‘product’ and you must attract the people with most potential to work for you.
Then we set the objectives for all areas of business to create this vision.
What coaching packages would we offer?
How many coaches would we need?
How much revenue and profit to be generated?
How many sales per month?
How many leads?
This gave us the clear direction and benchmarks we need to hit to achieve the dream.
Without knowing these KPI’s and objectives, you’ll stay spinning your wheels and being ‘busy’ – but you won’t get anywhere!
3. Management, Operations & Finance
The next thing we did was to create the operation plan that would be required to hit the KPIs.
That start with an organization chart, financial forecasts, and creating job roles for the company.
Without these in place, you’ll end up hiring the wrong people at the wrong time . . . and you’ll likely over or under pay them!
In fact, 99% of ‘team member issues’ are because of a lack of operations & finance structure.
After this was complete, we knew exactly who to hire, and by when, and what we could budget for that role.
The job description template I showed them allowed Brian & Carrie to ensure the coaches they hired would bring a significant 3-8X ROI on whatever they paid out.
4. Team Recruitment & Development
In a lot of ways, growing a team is like having kids.
Once you’ve decided to employ or contract someone, you now take responsibility for them.
Most coaches experience ‘hiring nightmares’ because they hire with the wrong mindset.
Its not enough to hire a solopreneur / freelancer who cares nothing for your business and expect them to be a team player.
But instead, when you attract talented coaches who align with your core values, appreciate your company culture, and are excited to help you achieve the big vision, you’ll create a real team of rockstars.
That’s why the work we did in step #2 is so critical.
Brian & Carrie grew a team of 15 people within 9 months. That’s insane scaling growth.
The best part is everyone is happy, they know their roles, and each play a profitable part in the company.
We hold team retreats in Montreal every 90 days to re-evaluate our journey to the vision, and where we can optimize things even further.
This keeps the whole team focused, energized and excited.

5. Growth Strategy (Marketing & Sales)
At the same time we recruited the team and built the operational systems, we also implemented the means to attract a new stream of leads and clients.
We created a recurring revenue stream – a lower-ticket membership package – and sold over 100 places upon the launch.
Next, we created a new income stream in the form of the “Brian & Carrie Apprenticeship Program” or “BCAP”.
We offered coaches a chance to become certified in Brian & Carries methodology and gain the chance to be part of our coaching team. This is a 12-week program, at the fee of $4000.
We sold over 50 BCAP places during the week we announced it. BCAP now intakes new students 3 times per year, and we’ve just launched a BCAP Level 2, at $5000 (only for grads of the first BCAP).
The BCAP program also birthed us our first two Brian & Carrie certified coaches – Liz and Michelle.
These two rockstars are now leading livestreams, producing content and coaching 1-1 clients under the Brian & Carrie brand.
Our next step is to take Brian & Carrie on the road – with a tour of live events and 2-day bootcamps to share the message with more people around the US & Europe.
…and all of this has happened in just over a year.
Crazy huh?
